Ingredients
1/2 cup Sugar
1/2 cup Water
1 teaspoon cracked Peppercorns*
Preparation
Add the sugar and water to a small saucepan over medium heat.
Stir until sugar is dissolved.
Cut the heat and add cracked peppercorns. You can either add in a sachet and submerge or add directly to the pot and strain after steeping.
Let cool and steep for at least 6 hours.
Remove sachet or strain into a glass jar with tight lid.
NOTE: Simple syrup will keep, refrigerated, for about one month.
*Use any color or mix of peppercorns desired.
